Aḥmad Riḍā Khān’s Sloppy Research

Aḥmad Riḍā Khān states in his treatise al-Kawkabat al-Shihābiyyah:

“Wahhābīs are attributed to ‘Abd al-Wahhāb Najdī. Ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb was their first teacher. He wrote Kitāb al-Tawḥīd, in which he treated all Muslims apart from his vile group as open Mushriks…Taqwiyat al-Īmān is a translation of this very Kitāb al-Tawḥīd.” (Fatāwā Riḍawiyyāh, Riḍā Foundation, 15:235)

In Sayf al-Jabbār, Aḥmad Riḍā Khān’s predecessor, Fāḍl al-Rasūl Badāyūnī, claimed Taqwiyat al-Īman was akin to a commentary of Kitāb al-Tawḥīd.

The reality is Taqwiyat al-Īman and Kitāb al-Tawḥīd are two very different books. Refuting these preposterous claims of Badāyūnī and Barelwī, Mawlānā Manẓūr Nu‘mānī highlights and explains the “massive difference in the nature” (naw‘iyyat mein boht barā farq) of the two works. (For more detail, see: Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb aur Hindūstān Ke ‘Ulamā’ e Ḥaqq, p. 66-8)

This is thus either an example of Aḥmad Riḍā Khān’s sloppy research or a further example of his deception and lies.

  1. Mohammed says:

    Brothers instead of wrting…these articles….

Why don’t we meet up to discuss these issues….??

    • Sahnun says:

Maybe someone should’ve told that Dajjal Ahmad Rida Khan to do that instead of lying and distorting the opinions of the Deobandi scholars just to try and get others to do takfir of them. At least Deobandis have the decency to accurately quote all the stupid rubbish and nonsense he came out with without lying and distorting things as he did.

  2. Aurangzeb says:

What is there to discuss? If your Imaan is healthy, you’d be over the moon that the Satanism of Barelwism is being thoroughly exposed here. Inclination towards or tolerance of a filthy creed which includes at its core such blatantly Kufr beliefs as attributing to Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) the knowledge of all Ghayb (not just the knowledge of one Nikah which the Hanafi Fuqaha themselves have proclaimed as Kufr Mahd – pure, unadulterated disbelief), and numerous other filthy beliefs around which the Barelwi “Deen” revolves viciously, is a sure sign of rotten Imaan.
